MINDFUL MOMS!
Mindful moms know...that sometimes- meddling in their kids affairs-is a must.
It doesn't matter to them if their children think they are mean, manipulative or making their lives miserable...Mindful moms know that mothering never ends. Never, no matter how old their kids are or how successful they've become or how smart they seem to be...mindful moms never mind their own business when it comes to the business of mothering their children. Once a mom always a mom!
Take the Madonna for example. She's still telling us what to do. For two thousand years she has been sticking her nose into our lives and letting us know beyond a shadow of a doubt that we have been messing up her messages, miracles and her mothering. She has repeatedly tried to right the errors of our ways by repeating over and over and over again the same old lessons that we laugh at. She is never content to say-"They're all grown up now and their loser lives are no longer my business." Nope-she squirms right in-standing front and center-massaging our consciences with that motherly predisposition that is poised to protect her children from the errors of their modern ways-even when we think she is old fashioned and out of touch with reality.
There's something about moms that makes all the difference in the world to the men and women who are blessed enough to have them maneuvering their opinions into their lives. Maybe it's the umbilical cord or time spent in the womb or the mommy dearest syndrome-who knows-but moms are meant to be the movers and shakers in the family.
This mom has watched it time and again...Every major movement that has meant anything monumental to a child-leads directly back to the mom who somehow, some way made the kid feel large enough to make big things happen or brave enough to boldly let bad things go.
I know I'm a little biased-but just think about all the moms you know...and think about all the lives they made possible...often under impossible circumstances...too often when many of them were children themselves. Think about how they have been able to pay attention to every minuscule detail of a child's needs while juggling their own needs and the demands of the world around them. No small task!
Full time moms, working moms, married moms, single moms, dumped moms, diva moms...they come in all forms, shapes and sizes...But my money is definitely on the moms...whose mindful meddling is moving mountains while clearing the way for more Miracles than we can ever imagine!
