EXTRAORDINARY HUMAN BEINGS!

Her face looked radiant tonight. I can remember just three months ago, a worn out lifeless 20 something, saying her messy life was hopeless and beyond repair...her relationship had rotted away and she stood on the verge of suicide. But tonight-my God she glowed with joy and a smile that would win anyone's heart.

What a difference a new attitude makes...It makes all the difference in the world -between burying yourself under the weight of your own misery-or putting your power and control right where it belongs...in the drivers seat. This young woman is just one more person who reached deep into her inner core, down below -to that place where we hide the best of who we are...She reached right in and gathered all the strength and courage she could muster and lifted herself up, rising from an ordinary human being, to an extraordinary example of hope.

She is the kind of person who inspires me with the conviction that we can be much more than who we've settled on...We too can move from the ordinary, to the extraordinary...if we are willing to make the tough choices that always lead to the greatest accomplishments and the most anointed blessings.

I spent a few days with two people last week who I believe can rise to the extraordinary. In fact I believe they were meant for the extraordinary...but they were slowed down by the ordinary, mundane matters of life that move us off our mark. As we talked I could see the wheels turning and the minds moving up a notch, ever so slowly, grasping for the wisdom of the words and wondering if it was just a bunch of phony baloney.

But here's the thing about being destined for greater things. You can ignore it, until someone points it out...then...there's no excuse, because you know better. What you do with it is your business-but burying the truth no longer works, because now you know and you can never, ever pretend you don't know.

In fact, you have one of two choices, to procrastinate-or carpe diem! Seize the day! These days, my money's on seizing the day-one day at a time-Because true humility has taught me that I need to be teachable in order to teach...and if I can learn, and others can learn from me-well that's pretty extraordinary...which is exactly what I'm getting at and hoping to pass on to others.

You see-there's no real purpose in just existing for ourselves...that's when we fall into the sloppy, slump of morbid existence...When we rise to the challenges and challenge ourselves we reach that level of existence that produces extraordinary qualities in us and in others...We become extraordinary human beings-just like we were meant to be-before we settled for less!

So now you know! There's no turning back! Be extraordinary!
