BEFORE YOU RUN!
The Pierre Principle is poignantly powerful. Helping people put the zest in their lives, by making their dreams their reality.
Always positive and perfectly positioned, my good friend Monica Pierre is living her dream and sharing a piece of it with the rest of us. This Saturday, she will be hosting a platform of political pundits who know the ins and outs, the highs and lows, the winners and the losers in the political arena. They'll be sharing years of experience, knowledge and good old fashioned wisdom with an audience of would be hopefuls-wishing upon the rising star of political fame.
I smiled when she told me about the idea...Having once been the sidekick of a political novice, I learned the hard way that sometimes, politics is like a poisonous venom that slowly and seductively seeps into the pores of people, placing them and their families in peril. The painful part is that-the power politicians wield for the masses, is the very power that poisons their personal lives.
Monica's intentions are noble...Providing information and education and communicating the facts of political life...so that prospective politicians won't be running in circles-or into financial ruin. It takes a lot more than self will and self serving ideals to win a campaign...Money-money and more money...is a key component to delivering the latest mesmerizing message.
As news reporters, Monica and I have both covered our share of political races...and I have to say, there is a euphoria that is electrifying-especially when the good guy or gal wins. Unfortunately-we've also seen our share of clean cut winning candidates-who wind up putting in years of costly labor, behind bars-inside a federal prison.
Monica gets my winning vote for putting this seminar together. A little knowledge goes a long way toward making an informed decision and sometimes it can prevent a lifetime of heartaches and headaches. Idealism sounds good, but good people really need to know what they're getting themselves into before they plow into the political arena. After that-may the best man or woman win!
