DIVINE PROVIDENCE
It struck me again today-as it has over the last several months...that my life is being built on divine providence. Trusting that everything that I need and that my children need, is in the hands of the heavens.
As my mind wanders backward over the many months of maneuvering and making ends meet...I am deeply moved by the many helping hands that have reached out and carried us along this journey of trust. My sister, my brother, Katherine...my friends and other family...a long list of Loved ones who may not fully understand how pleased they have made God, by giving so freely of themselves-to those whom God has called them to help.
You see-when we resolve to trust in divine providence-it means we accept with a grateful heart, that our wants and our needs, our hopes and our dreams, will be met-as God intends to meet them...but not necessarily in the manner we feel we merit. We usually find, that we receive more than we really need, while we often learn to live with a lot less.
In fact, we learn to trust that God who is all Loving and kind will never let us down...and that he will never let us go. We realize more fully, that his sustaining grace will give us all the strength and courage we need while we learn to walk this great big world in the style and comfort of a new pair of shoes that seem to be taking us on an incredible journey-to the deepest recesses of the soul. It is there, within the interior nature of our spiritual realm, that we learn the truth of our humanity and the destiny of our divinity. It is there that the definition of divine providence is more completely understood, because the intimacy of God's intentions-is more fully illuminated.
There is no place for a sense of loss or a feeling of want, because so many unexpected, unusual gifts are given in the most extraordinary manner from the most amazing individuals. All of them chosen by God, to give what they have because they have been given enough--to give freely for the sake of divine providence...
which is really just a fancy way of saying to give what is God's.
Divine Providence. God's gifts-given freely by others-to those in need...who are relying on God to give them exactly what they need-until they too can give what they have for the sake of those in need. Feeding and nourishing the hungry and hopeless in the name of God...for the sake of souls. It doesn't get more sensational than that!
